Development
My bigger programming projects are built under the name icecherry. It is not a company, just a shared name for projects, so other developers can join at any time without everything being tied to my name. What is built there is listed on icecherry.dev.
Chemachi
Chemachi is the biggest project under icecherry: a school management platform that several schools can use separately from each other, with a gamified learning side. Students solve daily and targeted quizzes and fight dungeon bosses together in groups, in real time. There are also rewards, a shop and an inventory. Teachers manage classes, absences and a shared test catalogue, with roles and permissions per school. Generating questions with AI is in the works.
Under the hood, Chemachi is a Go backend (chi, pgx, PostgreSQL) with a frontend in Vue 3 and TypeScript. Sign-in runs through Zitadel (OIDC), real time and shared state through NATS JetStream, and files live in S3 storage (Garage). The backend is the only gateway to the outside and runs as several instances side by side. Everything is self-hosted, built with Forgejo CI and rolled out via GitOps. Chemachi is developed with Claude Code.
This site
weneg.de is a private project and not part of icecherry. It is built with Hugo and served by a small Go server in a container, following the same pattern as icecherry.dev.
